Monetary aid provided for crisis victims of Moreh

Imphal, February 04 2025:
A sum of Rs 25,000 each has been dispersed to families of seven Moreh residents who lost their lives during the communal violence that erupted on May 3, as assistance for their final rites and rituals.
The amount was handed over to victims' family members by Moreh SDO Ejaj Hassan under the guidance of Tengnoupal DC Krishna Kumar, at Kakching Lamkhai on Tuesday.
The victims were Chirom Icha Meitei (35y) s/o late Chirom Pawajao of Moreh Ward No 7 Turel Wangma; Nanao Leishangthem (30) s/o late L Amu Singh of Moreh Heinoumakhong Leikai, Ward No 7; Thokchom Ningthourenba (30) s/o late Th Thoiba of Heinoumakhong Leikai Ward no 7; Mayanglambam Tombi Devi (78) w/o late M Nobin Singh of Moreh Premnagar Leikai Ward No 4; Waikhom Nanao (39) h/o Memcha Lei-ma of Moreh Khunou Leikai, Ward No 9; Moirangthem Ingo (26) s/o M Bina Devi of Moreh Khunou Leikai Ward No 9; and Thangjam Laibi (46) w/o Thangjam Shyam of Moreh Ward No 7 Turel Wangma Leikai.
Moreh SDC Md Sukur Ali, Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) president Mayanglambam Thoiba Meitei, general secretary Leishangthem Brojendro Meitei and other members of MCM were also present on the occasion.
