MANIFA 2025 on Sept 20, entries within Aug 26

Kakching, August 03 2025: The 12th MANIFA (Manipuri Film Awards), 2025 will be jointly organised by Thouna Manipur and Film Forum Manipur (FFM) in Kakching district on September 20.Speaking to newspersons at Library and Information Centre, Kakching audito rium on Saturday in the presence of Thouna Manipur functionaries, FFM general secretary Kangjam Ronelchandra Meitei informed that the 12th MANIFA will be held under two sections - feature film and non-feature film, with entries for the first open for films of 70-180 minute duration and the second not exceeding 30 minutes.

Stating that awards were be presented in various categories, along with conferring the Neta Irabot Leelaroi Lifetime Award (Manipuri Cinema), Neta Irabot Leelaroi Lifetime Award (Shumang Leela) and Maipak Sanahal Jagoi/Ishei Lifetime award, the general secretary advised all concerned to confirm participation within August 26.He also informed that films proposed for the award must be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024 .

Entry forms can be obtained from the FFM Office, 12th MANIFA Cell at Mini Shankar Talkies, Lamphel, and submitted to the same office.

Films will be screened for the jury from August 28, and the five final nominees will be announced on September 5 along with the names of the Lifetime Award recipients.
