At least 11 held, arms recovered

Security forces arrested as many as 11 militant cadres and confiscated several arms and ammunition from different places in the last 48 hour.
A bulletin issued by the Police Control Room said that four cadres of Pambei led UNLF and one associate of theirs were arrested yesterday from Wangkhei Thangapat Mapan for alleged involvement in extortion.
The arrested cadres have been identified as Wangmayum Azizur Rahaman alias Tiger of Mayang Imphal Bengoon Yangbi Mayai Leikai; Sheikh Wasim Raja alias Wangthoiba (30) of Kyamgei Muslim Maya Leikai; Md Farukh Khan alias Kengba (19) of Phoubakchao Konuma and Phusham Ajmir alias Kakpa (24) of Mayang Imphal Bengoon Yangbi Mayai Leikai.
Their associate, on the other hand, has been identified as Khullakpam Ibosana (44) of Oinam Sawombung.
The Control Room continued that two live rounds (one .303 and one AK rifle ammunition), three wireless sets, seven mobile phones and one four wheeler were seized from their possession.
The PCR further stated that two 9mm pistols (country made), one lathode gun, fifty pieces of 7.62mm AK ammunition, four bullet proof jackets and two handheld radio sets were seized from Leijangphai Village under Thanlon police station in Pherzawl.
One SLR, two single barrel guns, one bolt action rifle, four pompis, two 36 HE hand grenades, one empty SLR magazine, one empty INSAS magazine, two bore cartridges, five 7.62mm live rounds, thirteen 7.62mm empty cases, two 51mm mortar covers, six tear gas shells, three stun shells, two smoke shells, two para shells and some protective gears were also seized from Moltincham Village under Sugnu police station in Churachandpur district, it said.
Six cadres of KWP (PWG) and one cadre of PREPAK (Pro) were also arrested yesterday from different places, according to police.
