18th foundation day of KYKL; Candid Chairman admits errors, seeks advice

Imphal, April 24 2012: On behalf of the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), its Chairman N Oken has greeted all the people of Kangleipak and western South-East Asia as well as the revolutionary groups of the region and CorCom members on the occasion of the outfit's 18th raising day which falls on April 25 .

In a press statement issued in connection with the raising day anniversary, N Oken conceded that both the revolutionary movement and the social movement have been going in reverse gear.

The two movements which are inseparable like the faces of a coin have lost people's support to an alarming level.

In the meantime, the Kanglei nation has been surrounded by layers and layers of challenges which have the potential to exterminate the whole nation.

The nation has been drowning in a plethora of problems which came with the alien rule of New Delhi, Oken remarked.

"If our people do not wake up at such a critical junction and do what is necessary to save the nation, it is a foregone conclusion that the Kanglei nation would certainly disappear from the surface of earth", the KYKL Chairman asserted.

Though the revolutionary movement and the social movement have lost much public support, it is these two movements which can save the nation.

For this, it is paramount to bring back the two movements on the right path.

It is the bounden duty of all the revolutionaries to correct the revolutionary movement and make it a progressive movement which is supported by the mass.

One primary reason for the public to stay away or turn against the existing revolutionary movement are the faults and mistakes committed by the revolutionaries, Oken noted.

At such a critical situation, scholars, intellectuals, social workers, journalists/editors, teachers, writers, doctors, engineers and technocrats have been acting like they are punishing the revolutionaries rather than working to save the nation by guiding the revolutionary groups to the right path.

The revolutionary movement can be compared to a ship which is essential to cross a sea of misery to deliver the nation to a destination where the people would be once again alive and vibrant.

The sea of misery is nothing but the alien rule of New Delhi, Oken alleged.

"But what our people have been doing is like destroying the ship because the oarsmen cannot row well or do not know the direction instead of working to replace or guide the unskilful oarsmen", Oken remarked.

The Chairman appealed to the mass as well as intellectuals of the land to advise KYKL openly or secretly so that they can rectify their mistakes and faults.

Stating that the revolutionary groups should first create a condition where people do not feel afraid to put forward any suggestion or advice, Oken sought suggestion from all sections to create such a conducive condition.

"We would certainly rectify ourselves.

Self-correction is a part of the revolutionary movement", the Chairman concluded.
