Active caseload rises to 144 with 27 more

The State's Covid-19 active caseload has risen to 144 after 27 persons were tested positive during the last 24 hours which also saw discharge of 13 Covid-19 positive individuals.
Out of 356 samples tested during the last 24 hours, 27 individuals from Imphal East (7), Imphal West (13), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1) and Chandel (1) were confirmed positive.
The daily positivity rate is 7.6 per cent.
Although the pandemic had claimed 2120 lives in the State, there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,439 (general population 1,32,425 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 144 active cases, all from general population and 1,35,175 recovered cases (general population 1,30,168 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 98.35 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,84,295 (first dose 15,98,012, second dose 12,66,511 and precautionary dose 1,19,772) .
Till Saturday, 62.01 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 53.38 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
