Biswajit takes vaccination slogan to Noney

Imphal, July 10 2021:
Works Minister Th Biswajit has said that only vaccination will ensure maximum protection from COVID-19 and a speedy return to normalcy that will aid in faster recovery of the deteriorating economy of the State.
Th Biswajit said this while inaugurating a mass vaccination camp held at Laphok (Bitiang) in Noney district and added that every eligible person in the country will be vaccinated against COVID-19 for free under the largest vaccination drive under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The initiative is for the welfare of the people along with saving the economy from going further downhill, he added.
Th Biswajit further said that the vaccines currently in use against COVID-19 are put into use after clearing all stages of trial with satisfactory results by many scientists and competent authorities.
It is really unfortunate that some people are deliberately spreading false and unfounded reports about the side effects of the vaccines which has increased vaccine hesitancy amongst the public, he added.
He appealed the public not to believe such rumours and warned those spreading such fake news of stringent actions.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has also started taking up action against those spreading fake news.
The Minister added that even though there is still a possibility of contracting the virus even after getting both doses of the vaccine, many experts have said that getting the vaccine decreases the severity and there are very less chances of needing hospitalization.
The mass vaccination camp was organised to address all these issues, he added.
Th Biswajit added that BJP is a party with a difference with a strong sense of Nationalism.
Welfare and development of the Nation as a whole are its foundation, he added.
Sarvodaya Antyodaya and Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash are the slogans of the party and BJP has been working towards meeting the ideals set by these slogans, he added.
Alleging that Congress party which was in power for a long time had failed to deliver the needs of the Nation, he said that the limited developmental works taken up under Congress regime are miniscule in front of all the works taken up under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi within a short span of 7 years.
A big example is the condition of Tongjei Maril or Old Cachar road at present as compared to its condition during the previous Government.
BJP has been giving special attention to the North Eastern States including Manipur.
The prime examples include nominating boxing legend Mary Kom as MP in Rajya Sabha, appointing Dr RK Ranjan as MoS External Affairs and Education and appointing A Sharda Devi as State president of BJP Manipur Pradesh thereby living up to its stand to empower women in the society.
He also assured all possible assistance from his side in building a community hall at Lamdangmei and to have engineers survey the road connecting Lamdangmei and Dolang Khunou to develop it as soon as possible.
Speaking at the programme, M Daniel, president, BJP Tamenglong district said they are planning to vaccinate all eligible persons in Nungba AC by the end of this month.
He added that the public of Nungba AC have seen the meagre amount of work done by its representative during the last 40 years and will not support them any further.
He also expressed confidence that Nungba AC will have a representative from BJP in the upcoming general elections.
The mass vaccination camp organised by district administration, CMO, BJP Nungba Mandal, Laphok and Lamdangmei village authorities was also attended by Th Yumjao, in-charge BJP Tamenglong district and Waribam Harimitra Roy, vaccination incharge of the vaccination drive as presidium members.
