Protesters ignorant, asserts I/W SP

Imphal, February 01: Stating that Imphal West police, based on media report arrested eight women from their respective houses located in Lamshang area for their role in the protest on Republic Day, SP Imphal West Clay Khongsai asserted that the women were ignorant of what they were doing.

The women on questioning reportedly disclosed that they were called out from their houses and shops etc by some unidentified persons and made to pose in front of cameras without letting them know the real motive.

As such it is clear that these simple women were victimized by anti-nationals for their own ends, noted the SP.
