Even though PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee has assured to review the ceasefire agreement hundreds of students have started fast-unto-death, relay hunger strike and other forms of agitation demanding immediate revocation of the ceasefire in Manipur.
Thirteen students of Praja Higher Secondary School, Lamshang started a fast unto death agitation in front of the school today from 10.30 am.
AMSU Lamshang Branch president and a class XII student, S Satrajit who is leading the agitation said they would not step down from their agitation until the Government of India revokes the ceasefire extension.
Hundreds of students of Mayang Langjing Higher Secondary School staged sit-in-protest in front of their school today.
Students of Tera Boys� High H/S, Kebol Girls� H/S, Bless Academy along with womenfolk of Sagolband also staged a dharna today at Tera Keithel.
Rallies were also held at Sagolband and Uripok road.
Hundreds of students of Kha Imphal High School and Haobam Marak Girls� Higher Secondary school took out a rally.
Over 600 students of St.
George High School staged a sit-in-protest at the Lizard Library complex, Wangkhei.
Students from class III to X started the agitation from 10 am and went on till 2.30.Teachers also joined the dharna.
Students reading from class I to X of Don Bosco High School, Langjing also staged a sit-in-protest at Iroishemba Chingjin from 10 am to 2.30. Hundreds of students of MBC Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco H/S, Chingmeirong, Prima Donna English School, North Imphal Girls� H/S, Lilashing Khongnangmakhong and Adimjati School also staged a sit-in-protest near the gate of MBC School.
