UYH extends financial aid to cancer patient

Kakching, May 27 2024: United Youth of Heirok (UYH) extended financial assistance to one Laishram Kamando (34) of Heirok Part 1 Mayai Leikai, who is suffering from colon cancer.

A team of UYH led by its advisor Rameshwor Elangbam and convenor Shamurailatpam Prembarta visited Kamando at his residence on Monday and handed over the fmancial'aid, which was contributed by the members of the organisation.

Laishram Kamando had lost both his parents and is a carpenter by profession.

He has two small children and part of his homestead land had been sold to cover his medical expenses.

Considering the hardships he is enduring in meeting his treatment expenses and maintaining his family as well, UYH members pooled in money and provided the same to the patient as a humble gesture.

UYH also appealed to philanthropic organisations and individuals to assist Kamando in his treatment saying that he has to undergo a series of treatment to recover from colon cancer.
