RBCC Youth Day cum Sports Meet begins

The 39th Mega Youth Day cum Sports Meet organised by Youth Department of Rongmei Baptist Churches Council, Longmai Zone, got underway at Longmai Part-2 Baptist Church in Noney district on Friday.
The event held under the theme "Begin with God, End with no Regrets" was opened by finance secretary of Joint Tribe Council (Inpui, Liangmei, Rongmei and Zeme tribes) Kenan Kamei.
The three-day mega event features various activities such as volleyball, marathon race, penalty shoot-out, relay race, obstacle race, 100m race, 200m race, choir competition, solo competition, quick talk battle and talent.
More than 700 youths from 27 churches affiliated with RBCC in Longmai area are participating in the meet.
In his address as the chief guest, Kenan Kamei urged Rongmei youths to avoid a life of regret and instead strive for victory through their faith in God, who has endowed everyone with unique talents.
He emphasised the importance of discovering and developing these hidden talents to positively impact society, encouraged the young audience to be punctual in their responsibilities and to make the most of their time by contributing meaningfully to their communities.
Advocating diligence in all assigned tasks and urging the youth to cultivate a strong work ethic, be determined, and persevere to achieve their goals, he also cautioned against excessive use of digital media.
The attendees were mesmerised by musical performances by guest singers Jianpui Montha Kamei and Jianthaina Kamei.
The opening ceremony was attended by zonal secretary of RBCC Longmai Zone Rokungliu Panmei, youth convenor GD Gaibulung, functional chairman Angam Panmei, and functional secretary Janguanglung Gangmei, along with other religious and youth leaders from Longmai area.
Attending the evening session, Ukhrul SDO Dinringam Kamei encouraged the youth to become the cornerstone of society.
RBCC Longmai Zone comprises 27 churches in the Longmai area, functioning as a church-based organisation to enhance administrative efficiency and promote unity in Christ.
