ZUF-GoI talks on April 19

Imphal, April 17 2023: Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has called upon all Zeliangrong kindred people for collective support and inclusive political mass drive towards asserting their rights to live together under one administrative unit of the Union of India.

A statement issued by its ministry of information & publicity, ZUF recounted that the Zeliangrong political movement has its long history of suffering, sacrifices and contributions both in pre and post independent era.

Despite its contributions and participation as equal citizens of India, the demand has been long neglected and ignored with adamant attitude of the past Indian leaders.

However, the present Government of India under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with high sense of justice and humanity, has prioritised Zeliangrong struggle as one of the indispensable issues.

Therefore, the case of Zeliangrong historical and political issue is now onstage for political dialogue to be held shortly.

ZUF, after much toil and hope beyond the current complicacies, will come up to present the case before the Government of India while representing all sections of Zeliangrong kindred people for a political settlement with the GOI.

Understanding each other's positions, both the parties have agreed to hold political dialogue on April 19, ZUF informed while urging Zeliangrong kindred people for support and cooperation.
