Resort inaugurated near Maibam Lokpa Hill

Bishnupur, January 13 2023: United Committee Manipur (UCM) president Joykumar Konthoujam inaugurated the Ayangleima Masaikon Resort opposite to Maibam Lokpa Hill, Nambol in Bishnupur district on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Joykumar stressed the need for protecting and developing historic places and its surroundings as they are the testimonies of the civilisation and important historical events of Manipur.

He appreciated proprietor of the resort for choosing the location, which is not only important from the historical point of view but also provides a calm and peaceful environment.

Joykumar also expressed confidence that the resort, with facilities like playfield for children, meeting hall and seminar hall, will be a popular destination for many and stressed the need for focusing on rural areas while taking up such projects as well as any other infrastructural development projects.

He also spoke on the importance of taking out children from the environment of school, private tuition and family by visiting historical places and providing social education.

The current trend of education in the state has many flaws as bright students produced under this system often lack social quotient resulting in mismanagement of government offices when they become officers, he observed.

Proprietor of the resort Th Victoria, Thongam Angouba Singh Trust, Taobungkhok president Thongam Phulchand, and team representative of the resort Nick Khoishnam also attended the inauguration function.
