Rakhi, Rangoli making competition held

In celebration of 78th Independence Day and as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, 2025, Child Care Institutions in collaboration with Noney district administration and District Child Protection Unit organised tiranga-themed Rakhi making competition on Saturday.
The event aims to instil a sense of patriotism and national pride among the young participants.
The competition saw participation from children, who creatively designed and made 'Rakhis' incorporating the colours of the Indian National Flag.
The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, launched by Government of India, encourages citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes and participate in various activities to promote patriotism and national pride.
Meanwhile, Jiribam district administration, in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit, Jiribam under the Department of Social Welfare, organised a Tiranga Rangoli making competition on Sunday as part of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign at Gulamchat Open Shelter Home, Patchao, Jiribam.
Four teams of two participants each from two Child Care Institutions participated in the competition held in the presence of Jiribam SDO/SDM L Tarajeet Singh.
During inspection of the competition the SDO interacted with the participants and praised their talents and distributed sweets and snacks.
The winners will be awarded with citation and meritorious prizes on the occasion of Independence Day Celebration, 2025 at Child Welfare Committee Office, Patchao.
Earlier on Saturday, Raksha Bandhan festival was celebrated at Gulamchat Open Shelter Home for siblings of Child Care Institutions, highlighting the bond between brothers and sisters.
The competition was witnessed by district information officer N Bidyananda Singh, SDC/BO S Sitaranjeet Singh, SDC/BO Gyandeep RK, Borobekra SDC M Devananda Singh and Jiribam DCPO Hei-rangkhongjam Ibeyaima Devi.
