Two held for impersonating in entrance test

Imphal, July 10 2024: Two "candidates" were arrested for impersonating and using mobile phones during the entrance test for Pharmacy Diploma conducted under Technical Education, Manipur at Government Polytechnic in Takyel, on Wednesday.

The two impersonators have been identified as Brri Maqbool (19) s/o Bm Manjur Ahmed of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi and Md Mansur Alam (20) s/o Md Riyajuddin of Lilong Ubak Thong.

According to a police report, on July 7, the Technical Education Manipur conducted the entrance test for Pharmacy Diploma for 30 seats at the Government Polytechnic.

During the examination, the arrested duo was found impersonating two candidates, in addition to using mobile phones inside the examination hall.

A team of police produced the duo before the court of CJM Imphal West on Wednesday, which remanded them to 15 days in police custody.
