34 clear scrutiny in Ccpur, one rejected

Churachandpur, February 09 2022: Out of the 35 candidates who filed their nomination persons till Tuesday for the six assembly constituencies in Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts, the nomination of one candidate for the seat of 59-Saikot AC, namely Lunkho-sei, an independent candidate, was rejected during scrutiny on Wednesday.

With this, the total number of candidates from various parties who have cleared the scrutiny stand at 34.After clearing the scrutiny conducted at the DC office on Wednesday, NPP candidate for Churachandpur AC Thangzalian Thomte, former Lamka Post Editor, went round the town seeking blessings from various church leaders of EBC, EOC and others.

Thangzalian started his mission from Lingsiphai, where he received blessings from EOC heads and then proceeded to EBC Church.

While talking to this correspondent, Khanthang Paite, the NPP candidate for Thanlon AC, disclosed that he would start campaigning in full scale, for which he has divided his teams into four groups to chalk out strategies for canvassing.

In Tipaimukh (ST) AC, nominations of Dr Chaltonlien Amo to contest from BJP ticket has been approved whereas Ngursanglur Sanate has been approved with JD(U) party and Thangthatling Sinate with NPP ticket.

In Thanlon (ST) AC, Khanthang Tonsing (NPP), Vungzagin Valte (BJP), Lalhlunsang Sungte (Shiv Sena), Thangkhangin (UP), Thangkhosei Guite (JD-U) and Langkhanpau (independent) have been approved.

The nominations of Let-zamang Haokip (BJP), T Manga Vaiphei (INC), Nehminthang Haokip (NPP), Genneikhup (JD-U), T Thangzalam Haokip (Shiv Sena) and Sehpu Haokip (independent) were also approved in Henglep (ST) AC.

V Hangkhanlian (BJP], H Mangchinkhup Paite (INC), Th Thangzalian (NPP), Dr Jainson Haokip DD (Kuki National Assembly), Lallian Mang Khaute alias LM Khaute (JD-U), H Lianchinthang (Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas), James Khuma Hauzel (independent) were approved for Churachandpur (ST) AC.

In Saikot (ST) AC, George T Haokip (NCP), Khaipao Haokip (NPP), Paolienlal Haokip (BJP), TN Haokip (INC), John H Pulamte (JD-U), Joshua Thiek (KNA), John MK Thang (Ind) and Karong Onkholer (Ind) were approved while in Singhat (ST) AC, nominations of Ginsuanhau Zou (BJP), Tuankhan Kiamlo Hangzo (INC), Chinlunthang (Kuki People's Alliance-KPA) and T Hangkhanpau (JD-U) were approved.
