MBC Quinquennial Congress 2025 begins

Imphal, February 08 2025:
Manipur Baptist Convention's (MBC) Quinquennial Congress 2025 hosted by Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) at Angchang Ground, Chandel Christian village and Lambung Baptist Church, under the Theme 'Blessing (Genesis 12:1-3)' began on Friday.
In a release, ANBA finance & development secretary reverend Boonson Tongsin informed that the congress which will continue till February 10 will have CBCNEI general secretary reverend Dr Akheto Sema; Tangkhul Church, Delhi pastor reverend Dr Mathanmi Zimik and MBC general secretary reverend K Losii Mao attending as speakers.
On the first day, 2031 delegation from 30 affiliated associations registered for the Congress with secretaries and officials from Arunachal Baptist Churches Council (ABCC), Assam Baptist Convention and Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention also set to take part, it added.
ANBA also stated that the MBC Quinquennial Congress 2025 monument was unveiled by reverend Dr Akheto Sema at Living Hope Theological College (LHTC), Modi village, Chandel district and the Congress Hall was also dedicated later in the evening by him.
In the inaugural evening service, a procession of all the associations under MBC with their respective flags took place and the MBC Quinquennial official flag was hoisted by MBC president reverend Dr Mathotmi Vasha.
The inaugural evening service witnessed a congregation of over 3,000 delegates and local members, it further said.
