Thoubal, March 07 2022: One Sarju, wife of Longjam Roshnikanta of Wangjing SK Leikai under Wangjing-Tentha AC, has strongly condemned unknown miscreants destroying properties and looting a sum of Rs 4 lakh from their residence on the intervening night of March 4 and 5.Speaking to media persons, Sarju recounted that a group of masked men came to their home, pelted stones, opened fire and called out her husband Roshnikanta.

As he was not at home due to engagement in election duty she along with her two children fled the house out of fear only to find that several properties including vehicle and freezer were burnt down and vandalised and a sum of Rs 4 lakh along with 11 'sans' of gold looted, she said.

Informing that a complaint has been registered in this regard, Sarju said that her husband has no political affiliation.

However, the threat and intimidation seem to be due to family being a distant relative of INC candidate M Hemanta, she opined and condemned such unwarranted attacks.
