Lilong committee gives 48 hours for drug promoters to surrender

Imphal, November 02 2024: All Manipur Muslim Development Committee has given 48 hours deadline for surrender of three persons who supported drug sellers and users, and thrashed a volunteer of anti-drug cell of the committee.

According to a statement of the committee, a team of anti-drug cell of the committee moved into Lilong Tararok upon getting a specific report of the presence of some drug users and sellers in the area.

However, three armed persons, who were already awaiting the team, badly thrashed executive committee member of the committee Md Niki Ali son of late Ajit Khan of Lilong Haorou Hangamthabi.

Naming the three attackers as Md Sarukh Khan son of late Angou of Ushoipokpi Maning, Md Amir Khan of Lilong Heoreibi Makha Leikai and Md Abothem of Ushoipokpi Maning Leikai, the committee asked all of them to surrender within 48 hours or else face the consequences.
