RK Sanayaima stresses unity to defend Manipur

Peace Committee Kangleipak, Manipur advisor RK Sanayaima alias Meghen, has stressed the need for the people of Manipur to unite in order to defend themselves from adversary elements posing serious threat to the security and stability of the state.
Sanayaima was speaking at the unveiling of the memorial tomb and death anniversary (Phiroi) of four individuals, including a father and son (Ahanthem Dara Oinam Romen, Thoudam Ibomcha and Thoudam Anand), who were killed by Kuki militants while collecting firewood in Wangoo Sabal Maning Meichakpi Ching on January 10 .
The ceremony was held at Kumbi Akasoi on Sunday.
He stated that the Meeteis are a peace-loving people who abhor war.
However, in order to defeat the enemy waging war, it is crucial for the community to stand firm.
RK Sanayaima also noted that the long-held belief of living as a colonised people since 1949 is becoming increasingly evident.
The authorities involved are supporting the enemy and actively working to weaken the Meetei, he said while calling for unity to confront the enemy and restore lasting peace in the state once and for all.
The function was also attended by Kumbi MLA S Premchandra, office bearers of Peace Committee Kangleipak, leaders of various CSOs and people from different parts of the state.
