Imphal, May 28 2021: Under the aegis of Imphal West adhyaksha Rk Taruni, a Covid vaccination centre for the people of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC above 45 years of age has been set up at the 10-bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital located at Konjeng Leikai on Friday.

Speaking during the inauguration of the centre, Lok Sabha MP Dr Rk Ranjan pointed out that Covid-19 pandemic could be contained only by strictly following the preventive measures.

Government has been taking up several containing steps including imposition of curfew.

However, the infectious disease could not be curbed if people fail to grasp the gravity of the prevailing situation, he said while exhorting the people to get tested if they have any doubt of having exposed to the virus.

"We should join hands and fight together against the pandemic", Ranjan stressed and called upon people who are above 45 years of age to come out for inoculation.

The inauguration of the vaccination centre was also attended by Rk Taruni, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and volunteers of BJP Manipur Pradesh and Kishan Morcha.
