Diligent officials commended as state celebrates Republic Day

Noney, January 27 2023: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with much pomp and grandeur at Longmai III common ground, Noney district headquarters on Thursday.

DC (Noney) Joseph Pauline Kam-son unfurled the national flag followed by a march past parade by 16 contingents including police and students with additional SP (NH-37) Sangboi Gangte as the parade commander.

Appreciation certificates were also distributed to about 82 government employees for their distinctive contribution in various fields.

A cultural dance by Lu angchum troupe, patriotic song presentation, and distribution of red blankets to the village elders and leaders were part of the event.

SP N Madhunimai, ADC S Kha-pudang, SDO Noney, CO Terrestrial Army, ZEO Noney, CMO, CRPF assistant commandants, DLOs and other officials were present at the celebration.

Churachandpur: The district administration, Churachandpur celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Peace Ground, Tuibong on Thursday.

DC Sharath Chandra Arroju unfurled the national flag and took Rashtriya salute.

Other highlights of the programme included distribution of commendations to 121 government officials and staff for their excellence in public service and 13 NGOs/organisations/in-dividuals in recognition of their contribution towards the district administration and societies.

A cultural dance was also performed by JNV, Kendriya Vidy-alaya and Nepali community of the district and copies of Manipur Today Special issue published by Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) distributed to the gathering.

Separately, the Mualnuam ADC Office also celebrated its first Republic Day at the office premises with S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, ADC as the chief guest.

Senapati: The Senapati district administration celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Sanyi Dahrii Memorial Sports Complex, Khabung Karong on Thursday.

The celebration began with the taking of salute from SP Senapti Karthik Malladi, Superintendent and inspection of parade by deputy commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari, who also unfurled the national flag.

H Timothy Maram, SDPO Mao, was the parade commander of the march past comprising three security personnel contingents, one ex-servicemen, Anganwadi worker, ASHA workers and 17 schools and colleges students.

Unlike the other days, the 10 tableaux from the departments including DRDA, CMO, PHED, agriculture, social welfare, police, CAF & PD, ICDS and ADC were showcased highlighting their achievements, schemes and the ongoing projects taken up in the district.

Later, cultural dances were also performed by various cultural troupes.

42 government officials and 28 police personnel received commendation certificates from the district administration for their outstanding services.

In the march past competition of NCC category, Mt Everest College NCC claimed first position followed by Mt Zion College NCC while in schools & colleges category, Don Bosco College girls contingent secured first position followed by Don Bosco Hr Sec School girls contingent in second and Mt Pis-gah College boys' contingent in third.

The programme was attended by DLOs, CSOs, ex-servicemen, village chairmen and secretaries, youth volunteers and others.

Kangpokpi: Kangpokpi district administration celebrated the 74th Republic Day at the DC Office Complex.

Deputy commissioner Ken-goo Zuringla unfurled the national flag and took the salute from 6 parade contingents led by DSP Sheihang Khongsai.

The contingents included Kangpokpi district police, VDF, JNV School, Kangpokpi High School, Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Gamnom Sapormeina and ICDS Kangpokpi.

During the function, appreciation certificates were distributed to 65 officials from various departments and others for their outstanding contribution.

Certificates of participation were also distributed to students and police personnel who participated in the parade on Thursday.

It was followed by presentation of colourful cultural items from various school students.

Copies of Manipur Today Special issue published by DIPR were also distributed to the gathering as part of the celebration.

The function was attended by all officers and staff of various departments.

Bishnupur: The district administration of Bishnupur on Thursday celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Mini Stadium Ground, Bishnupur.

DC L Bikram unfurled the national flag and took the salute from 28 parade contingents commanded by Satyaam Takkhellambam, addl SP (Law & Order) .

Appreciation and commendation certificates were distributed to various officials and staff of the district for exemplary services on the occasion.

Mass drill performance by JNV students and Thougal Jagoi performance by a cultural troupe also marked the celebration.

Thoubal: The 74th Republic Day 2023 was celebrated by the Thoubal district administration at Basu Ground opposite SP office, Thoubal.

DC A Subhash Singh unfurled the national flag and took the salute from the march past contingents led by parade commander W Ibocha Singh, SDPO Thoubal.

Altogether 30 contingents including Manipur police, VDF, NCC, schools, colleges, band parties and cultural troupes participated in the march past.

Appreciation and commendation certificates were distributed to staff and officials of various departments in recognition of their valuable services rendered to the people of Thoubal district.

Certificates of participation were also given to students and police personnel who participated in the march past parade.

Copies of Manipur Today Special issue published by DIPR were also distributed to the gathering as part of celebration.

Cultural dance troupes also performed during the event.

The programme was attended by DLOs of various departments, police and staff of DC office Thoubal.

jiribam: The district admin istration, Jiribam on Thursday celebrated the 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervour joining the nationwide celebration.

The celebration was held at the playground of Jiribam Higher Secondary School with DC W Malemnganba Chenglei unfurling the national flag and taking the salute from different march-past contingents.

Later, the deputy commissioner unfurled the tricolour amidst playing of the national anthem.

The deputy commissioner then took the salute from 21 march past contingents under the command of SDPO Jiribam Takhellambam Inaobi Singh .

The march past contingents were 87th BN CRPF, 7th IRB, Civil Police Jiribam, MSRLM, Jiribam, Apunba Ningol Lup, schools in the district and Disco Band Party, Dibong Khunou.

Presentation of cash rewards to the participating contingents and certificates of appreciation to 84 outstanding government employees serving in the district marked the occasion.

Presentation of cultural dances, first aid demonstration, song presentation, one act play and band show also added the flavour to the celebration.

Additional deputy commission -er Jameson Hangshing, SP Ksh Ravikumar Singh, addl SP Emmanuel Fimate, DLOs and retired government officials attended the celebration.

Kakching: The Kakching district administration on Thursday celebrated the 74th Republic Day a't Kakching Sumak Leikai ground, Kakching.

DC Somorjit Salam unfurled the national flag and took the salute from 19 contingents including Manipur police, VDF, school students, ICDS, ASHA workers, cultural troupe, band party, NCC cadets.

The parade was commanded by SDPO Konjeng-bam Geetchandra Singh.

Selected civil and police per sonnel were honoured with certificate of appreciation.

All the participants in the march past contingents were also given certificate and cash award.

As part of the celebration, San-geet Natak Academy, Kakching performed Kabui cultural dance; Grace Cottage, Cultural and Educational Academy presented a Leima Jagoi; and Victor High School, Kakching performed Maring cultural dance.

In the march past, Grace Cottage, Cultutal and Educational Academy girls bagged the 1st position.

JNV, Umathel Girls and NCC Ex Cadet Kha Manipur College were declared joint second-position holders while NCC Sr Division girls, Kha Manipur College and JNV Umathel Boys came in third.

The celebration concluded with additional DC Adahrii Maheo delivering a vote of thanks.

Tengnoupal: The district administration of Tengnoupal celebrated the 74th Republic Day, 2023 at the ground of Tengnoupal Government High School on Thursday.

DC Ranjan Yumnam, who attended the celebration as chief guest, unfurled the national flag and took the salute from the march past contingents led by addl SP (Ops) Yumnam Premjit.

The 74th Republic Day celebration parade was participated by six contingents comprising two school students, police, a band contingent of the 20th Assam Rifles, ASHA Workers and ICDS Project, Tengnoupal.

As a part of the celebration, 52 officials of different departments were awarded certification of appreciation.

Youth Club, Tengnoupal was also gifted sports materials by the district administration.

Phalbung Youth Club performed a cultural dance.

Raju Mandal, officiating CO 20th Assam Rifles, also attended as special invitee.

The celebration was also attended bv all officers and staff of various departments.

Kamjong: Kamjong district joined the nation in celebrating the 74th Republic Day on Thursday at the ground of the Kamjong Higher Secondary School.

DC Rangnamei Rang Peter unfurled the national flag as a band party of the 8th Assam Rifles played the national anthem, and, later, he took the salute from the march past contingents.

Apart from the DC, other dignitaries present were SP P Manjit, ADM Ningeiram Leishang and CO 8th AR, besides all DLOs of the district, CSO leaders and hundreds of Kamjong public.

A total of 15 march past contingents including the 8 AR band party paraded much to the delight of the public of Kamjong town.

Later, cultural shows were presented by ICDS Kamjong and youths of Bungpa Khullen.

As a part of the programme, commendation certificates were handed over to many officials and staff of CMO, SP Kamjong, ZEO, district veterinary, DIO office, forest office, etc., for their outstanding services.

The 74th Republic Day was also celebrated at sub divisional level offices as the national flag was unfurled in SDO Phungyar, SDO Kasom Khullen and SDO Sahampung offices.
