Imphal, October 21 2022: Gangmumei Kamei (GK) Foundation organised the 3rd Prof Gangmumei Kamei Memorial Lecture at Manipur Dance Academy auditorium, here, on Friday.

Addressing the gathering Gangmumei s son Som Ka mei, who is post master gen eral of North East II Region, said that his father dedicated his life for more than four de cades on research and publication of books on History.

Stating that his father was advocate of interdisciplinary studies.

Som informed that the Foun dation has been organising the memorial lecture since 2018 to preserve and promote his wonts.

Regarding activities of the Foundation, he said it has been supporting needy stu dents to further their studies in addition to reward ing meritorious students of class 10 and 12 every year.

He expressed hope that such humble gesture and activi ties of the Found will help strengthen the fraternal bond among the indigenous people of the Manipur and, inspire noble hearted individuals and organisations to established institutes for studies on social science in the northeast region.
