'Back to school' campaign begins at Langdum

Imphal, April 20 2025: To strengthen and provide more knowledge to Self Help Groups, Keirao Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited and Leepun VLF (Village Level Federation) under the aegis of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) conducted 'Back to school' campaign on Sunday at Keirao Langdum in Imphal East district.

Around 150 members of 'SHGs took part in the campaign held at KB Chandra Primary School, Langdum Maning Leikai.

Representatives from Kudumbashree Model, a poverty eradication and women empowerment programme implemented by Kerala government, also took part in the campaign and shared their knowledge on strengthening SHGs.

Regarding the campaign, Leepun VLF president K Chandni said 'Back to school' campaign at Langdum is the first in Imphal East district and the campaign will be continued at other VLFs of the district.

She said that volunteers of Social Inclusion, Social Development (SISD) imparted knowledge to SHG members on social inclusion, food, nutrition health and wash, gender equality and PRI-CBO during the campaign.
