Students appeal to defer exam

Expressing concern over the insignificant gap between the 5th and 6 th semester examinations for graduate courses under Manipur University, students of colleges affiliated to the varsity have appealed to the university authority to defer the 6th semester examination.
Addressing the media at the jubilee hall of Imphal College, here, on Friday, Laishram Bernath, a student of the College, that the 5th semester examination was held in February with results still pending.
After the examination, colleges are yet to cover the syllabus for the 6th semester and practical classes are still pending.
Despite this, the university has scheduled the 6th semester examination from May 27, he pointed out, while adding that the schedule has become a matter of concern for the students.
He also cautioned that students studying in different colleges affiliated to Manipur University will chalk out further course of action if the University authority does not defer the examination schedules for the 6th semester.
