Imphal, November 08 2024: A one-day training-cum-seed distribution programpie on the theme 'Participatory Seed Production on Rabi Field Crops', organised by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal, was held at the farmers' hostel of the Centre on Friday.

ICAR NEHR head Dr Ramgopal Laha, ICAR KVK, Imphal West SMS Salam Gunamani, and All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Seed (Crops) nodal officer Dr Konsam Sarika attended the event as presidium members.

Dr Sarika elaborated on ways to prevent pest infestation on Rabi crops' and to boost production.

Around 40 select farmers from Chandel, Tamenglong, Ukhrul and Churachandpur districts participated in the programme.

They were also provided with good quality and certified crop seeds.

In the technical session, subject experts deliberated on seed production, pest & disease management, seed certification among other topics.
