Governor greets on Armed Forces Flag Day

Imphal, December 06 2022: Governor La Ganesan has extended his warm and best wishes to the armed forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, 2022 which is celebrated on December 7 across the country.

In his message, Ganesan said: "The significant Day reminds us of our bounden responsibility towards the Armed Forces for their invaluable contributions to our motherland.

Our Armed Forces have been serving the Nation with great distinction both during war and peace.

They have consistently displayed the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in every task assigned to them".

"Our Armed Forces have ensured the protection of our territorial integrity, fought the scourge of terrorism and provided succour to fellow citizens in times of natural calamities", he said.

"On this auspicious occasion, I, on behalf of the people of the state and self, pay tribute to all those gallant soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and will remain pride of the Nation", the Governor expressed, while also calling upon all the citizens to voluntarily contribute towards the noble cause of rehabilitation of war widows, disable defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their families.
