Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed the 60th death anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at Congress Bhawan, BT Road, here, on Monday.

Nehru spent countless years in jail during the freedom struggle but did not shy away from fighting for the motherland and eventually rebuild a free and independent India, As such, he is known as the 'Architect of Modern India' the world over, the former CM conveyed.
As part of the observance, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The observance was also attended by MPCC presi-dent 'K Meghachandra.
