The newly elected Naga Chiefs' Association Chandel (NCAC) president Ts Ruwngwar Anal has stated that village chiefs of Chandel district are not impressed with the pace of development in the district which has been designated as the only Aspirational District' of the state.
Speaking after swearing in as NCAC president for the term 2022-25 and installation service of the Association's new executive committee and assembly affairs at Chandonpok-pi (Phaipi) community hall, Chandel town on Saturday, the NCAC president mentioned that Chandel district is one of the most backward-districts and is very fortunate that is was selected as Aspirational District' with frequent visits from Union ministers.
But, the Union ministers during their tour only hold meetings at DC Chandel office and visit old projects repeatedly without taking up any new project for the district.
It would be better if the ministers also visit various other villages of the district to see the much needed requirements of the villages, he observed.
