MASTEC to observe National Space Day 2024

Imphal, July 09 2024:
To commemorate the successful landing of Chandrayan-3 Vikram Lander on the surface of Moon, Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) in association with North East Space Application Centre (NESAC), Shillong (Meghalaya) will observe National Space Day 2024 on July 19 at NIELIT, Akampat, Imphal.
According to a MASTEC release, the observance programme will feature Invited Talk on Indian Space Programme with special emphasis on moon missions (lunar exploration), space applications for societal benefits, audio visual show, space exhibition and display of space on wheel, interaction of students with scientists from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), NESAC, etc.
A science quiz on space exploration will also be organised for students of class IX to XII for which team of two students from each school may submit duly filled in application forms obtainable from MASTEC office or its website https://mastec.nic.in, within July 16.MASTEC also informed that a team of one teacher and two students from each school may be nominated by the principals/head-masters of schools (government/private) for participation in the technical sessions of National Space Day Celebration 2024.Further details may be had from the office of MASTEC director, it added.
