MLA Keba seeks support to bring development

Patsoi MLA Sapam Kunjakeshwor alias Keba has called for public support in bringing development in the constituency while keeping aside political differences.
Speaking as chief guest of a felicitation function for meritorious students and players of Langjing Achouba area organised by Western Star Club (WSC) at Langjing Achouba Mamang Leikai community hall on Sunday, the MLA commended clubs for their contributions towards bringing positive social changes in a locality and stressed the importance of those associated with local clubs to be sincere in dispensing their responsibilities.
Local people should also check the functioning of the club since the club will remain forever while its office bearers and public representatives will come and go, he said.
Further stating the society needs unity and concerted efforts to move forward, the MLA maintained that now is not the time for election and people should come forward and support one another to bring development while keeping aside political differences.
Six months before the election will be enough to play politics, he said while assuring to blacktop roads in Langjing area by the end of February.
This will be his gift for the New Year to the people of Langjing, he said.
Keba also called for public participation in making the society free from drugs and pointed out that the local should endeavour to make Langjing green for which he assured maximum support.
WSC president Sorokhaibam Naba presided over the function while Langjing Achouba Lai Haraoba Committee advisor Thoudam Tampha, Langjing Achouba Development Committee secretary Khulem Brojen and Langjing Achouba Women's Welfare Association secretary Elangbam Shanti attended as guests of honour.
