Commerce topper prefers teaching profession

Imphal, June 06 2022: HSE 2022 Commerce stream topper Abujam Anjali of SDJM Higher Secondary School, Paona Keithel said that she wants to become a teacher.

Born to Abujam Romen and Sarda of Langthabal Mantrikhong, Anjali told The People's Chronicle that though excited to become the first position holder she did not expect to top the examination.

While crediting her success to teachers, family and friends, the topper also confided that though she missed normal physical class during the Covid-19 pandemic, she paid attention in her study regularly.

Reading for a couple of hours a day is enough for her, Anjali said.

Apart from her study and interest in business section of commerce, she also loves to ready books mostly literature, she said, adding that mobile phone and internet helped her a lot in her study.

Her parents informed that Anjali always aspires to become a teacher and she used to play act as teacher while playing with her friends.

They did not face any hardships in raising her as she has her own routine of study since her childhood, said the proud parents and pledged fullest support in achieving her goal of becoming a teacher.
