Workshop on Tangkhul Nurabi concludes

Imphal, January 05 2025: A 23-day workshop cum training programme on "Tangkhul Nurabi" organised by Utra Shanglen, Sana Konung concluded at the premises of the Shanglen on Sunday.

Speaking at the valedictory function, Sana Konung secretary (custom) Thokchom Ibungohal informed that almost all Umang-Lai related programmes have been suspended since last year due to the conflict.

However, if any Lai Haraoba festival is celebrated, the organising committee concerned has been urged to limit the celebration to rituals and complete the same by 8pm and on the last day by 10pm.Explaining why the programme was organised, he said that since Lai Haraoba is celebrated during a specific period, "Tangkhul Nurabi" is an important activity of the same, which is included on the last day of the celebration without fail.
