Book Culture NE launches Thoubal book fair

Imphal, February 02 2025: A 10-day book fair, the first organised by Book Culture North East in Thoubal district, commenced from Sunday at Mela Ground, Thoubal.

The fair, which offers discount of varying ranges, including deals like Rs 399 per kilogram, buy 2 get 1 free, 50 per cent off and 15 per cent discount on selected titles, has a diverse range of books such as fiction, non-fiction, academic texts, children's books, as well as North-East and Manipuri literature.

Speaking in this regard, Book Culture North East convenor Salam Clinton explained that the book fair is part of its 'Travelling Book Fair' initiative.

Informing that similar fairs had been organised in Kakching, Imphal East, and Ukhrul districts, he said main objective of the fair is to make available books at affordable rates and inculcate reading habits among the people.

Further stating that the book fair will be organised in other areas, he urged everyone to visit the book fair and make it successful.
