CNPO to cooperate in road repairing

Chandel, November 13 2014: With the aim of maintaining quality, ensuring smooth and effective repairing of the Pallel Chandel road that is about to come into effect soon, the Chandel Naga People's Organization (CNPO) held a public meeting at the Salemthar Communiuty Hall today.

Attended by leaders of the NSUC, NWUC and more than 30 chiefs of the villages located along the road, the meeting resolved to inform that any agency implementing the road should meet with the CNPO Development monitoring cell, which is a constitution of the public leaders and the chiefs of the district before commencement of the work so that the development cell would be able to extend best possible help to bring about a good and quality road of the district.

The public meeting while hailing the decision of the government to better the road condition soon, informed that no making of speed breaker will be allowed at unnecessary places.

It is also resolved that the main road shall not be cut or dig out for draining water into the filed for irrigation.
