Early testing best option: MLA Mirabai

Imphal, May 28 2021: While pointing out that early testing is the best option to prevent COVID-19 infection and contain further spread of the virus, Patsoi MLA Ak Mirabai has appealed to people to go for testing and get early treatment if found positive.

The MLA made the appeal to the public after opening the second COVID-19 Vaccination Centre for Patsoi AC at Changagei PHC on Friday wherein she stated that people of Patsoi AC were unable to vaccinate due to lack of PHC and CHC when other ACs had already started vaccination programme at such health centres.

She also said that the second vaccination centre for Patsoi was opened after she mounted pressure on the health department as people of Patsoi were denied vaccination facility at Khumbong.

Mirabai further said that she along with state mission director, Changangei ZP member S Marjit, Changangei GP pradhan L Roma Leima and pradhans and members of other GPs inspected PHCs located in Patsoi AC.

After the inspection, the first vaccination centre for Patsoi was opened at PHSC located near SAI where more people could be gathered and the second vaccination centre was opened on Friday, she said and thanked ZP member and GP pradhans and members for their help in setting up the second vaccination centre.

She also said that a third vaccination centre would be opened soon after proper inspection.
