MLA bats for proper upbringing of children

Imphal, April 27 2025:
Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha stated that there is no work more important or valuable than raising children to become responsible citizens of the society.
He made the statement during the launch of the Bal Sabha, jointly organised by VLFs of Apunbagee Thouna Sanjenbam, Punna Hingminnashi Kharason, and Anouba Mangal Takhel under the aegis of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), held at the Sanjenbam Khullen community hall.
MLA Ibomcha emphasised the need to extend full cooperation and support to the various initiatives undertaken by the government authorities.
He added that the developmental projects taken up today are for the benefit of the future generations.
The event was also attended by S Ranjana, vice president of Apunbagi Thoudang VLF, and the ZP member from Tellou Chana Seijang.
A painting competition for students aged 5 to 18 years was also organised as part of the programme.
Meanwhile, MLA Kh Ibomcha also assessed progress of construction of bridge over the Iril River, under the PMGSY scheme to connect Sekta and Huidrom.
He was accompanied by PMGSY engineers, the contractor, village authorities of Sekta and Huidrom, local clubs and representatives of Meira Paibi associations.
During the visit, the MLA directed the work agency to complete the project at the earliest.
He also expressed the need to repair the existing suspension bridge to ensure continued use pending completion of the new bridge.
