LIC Kakching's Governor's Award, other awards distributed

Kakching, November 20 2022: The annual awards of Library and Information Centre (LIC), Kakching given to meritorious students, exceptional sportspersons, teachers, farmers and other noted people were presented during the 24th Awards Presentation Ceremony held at LIC auditorium on Sunday.

The Governor' Award (Kakch ing Library Award) for.

topper of HSLC Examination comprising Rs 12,000 and citation was given to Rahul Laishram (Catholic School Canchipur), son of L Sanahanbi and Premkumar of Nachou Awang Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district; Phanjoubam Gourahari Singh Awards given to Kakching centre HSLC exam toppers were presented to 9th position holder Mayanglambam Sania (Padma Ratna English School Kakching), daughter of M Shyama and M Gouranityai of Kakching Makha Lou and Moirangthem Devarani Devi (Martin Grammar School Kakching), daughter of M Loli and M Ibotombi of Kakching Moirangthem Leikai with both receiving cash prize of Rs 3000 & citation and Rs 2000 & citation respectively; Kshetrimayum Sanajaoba Singh-Amureima Devi Award comprising Rs 6000 and citation was presented to Padma Shri Awardee 2022 for knitted shoe Moirangthem Muktamani Devi of Kakching Moirangthem Leikai; and Kshetrimayum Ibohal Singh Award consisting of Rs 5000 and citation was given Mizoram University MA Rural Development gold medallist Nongmaithem Kisun Singh of Kakching Makha Leikai Rajdhani Pareng.

On the other hand, Kshetrimayum Kulachandra Singh and Sija Devi Award carrying Rs 7500 and citation were presented to Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) 2022 science stream topper Rahul Naorem (Xtra Edge School Ghari) of Arapti Mayai Leikai and commerce stream topper Abujam Anjali Devi (SDJM Higher Secondary School, Imphal) of Langthabal Mantrikhong Makha Leikai; Naorem Ganga Singh Award (Rs 5000 and citation) to M Sania (Padma Ratna English School Kakching); Yengkhom Yaima Singh Medical Awards (Rs 5000) to medical students of various institutions namely, Nongmaithem Nebita and Moirangthem Jayalukshmi Devi both from Kakching Khunyai Leikai, Yendrembam Nandira Devi of Kakching Paji Leikai and Pukhrambam Sylvia Devi of Kakching Ningthou Leikai.

Naorem Amuba Singh Teacher Award (Rs 7000, shawl and citation) was presented to Pukhrambam Kunjo Singh of Kakching Ningthou Leikai; Naorem Niranjoy Memorial Meritorious Awards given to HSLC Examination Kakching toppers were presented to HSLC 2022 Exam 3rd position holder Menaka Huidrom (Eureka Academy Thounaojam), 9th position holder M Sania (Padma Ratna English School) and 17th position holder Shamjetshabam Rishikesh Singh (Eureka Academy) with each receiving cash prizes of Rs 4000, Rs 3000 & Rs 2000 and citations; Moirangthem Toyaima Memorial Award (Rs 6000 and citation) was given to HSE 2022 arts stream topper Golmei Gaihemmei (Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham), daughter of Gangmei Akashini Kabuini and G Katazinphou of Langthabal Khoupum.

Dr Kshetrimayum Ratan Singh Memorial Sports Award (Rs 6000 and citation) was presented to international footballer (goalkeeper) Maibam Linthoingambi of Irengband Makha Leikai; Oja Achouba Merit Award (Rs 5000 and citation) were presented to M Sania Devi and M Devarani Devi; Naorem Bhubon Memorial Award in Art and Culture (Rs 5000 and citation) to 'Pena Asheiba' Kshetrimayum Ahanjao Singh of Kakching Laithagol Leikai and 'Moibung Khongba' Naorem Nawang Singh of Kakching Khunyai Leikai; Naorem Bhubon Memorial Award in Commerce and Industries (Rs 5000 and citation) were presented to blacksmith (Thang Shaba) Kshetrimayum Nandabir Meitei of Kakching Khunyai Leikai and Kakching Garden head garden designer Kshetrimayum Mohendro Singh.

Meanwhile, Naorem Rakesh Commemorative Award comprising Rs 5000 and citation were presented to M Sania Devi and M Devarani Devi; Nongmaithem Kokngang Singh and Maipak Devi Award given to the Best Farmer of Kakching Area (Rs 5000 and citation) were presented to Naorem Ango Singh of Kakching Wairi Ningthou Pareng and Naorem (o) Kshetrimayum Yaima Devi of Kakching Wairi Leishangthem Pareng; Naorem Nilachandra Singh Memorial Award (Rs 5000 and citation) were presented to HSE 2022 arts stream 3rd position holder Naorem Jessica Devi of Kakching Ningthou Leikai, science stream 7th position holder Ariesto Oinam of Kakching Turel Wangma Ningthou Pareng and 9th position holder Naorem Sovinity Devi of Kakching Wairi Senapati Leikai.

Yengkhom Ibochou and Tanou Devi Best Manipuri Pony Farmer Award (Rs 10,000 and citation) was presented to Elangbam Lemba of Hiyanglam Warakkhong, Lai Pangalba, Kakching district; Thambal Maipak Memorial Award (Rs 6000 and citation) to HSLC Exam 2022 2nd position holders Nongmaithem Dhanajeet and Tanishq Tongbram of Heritage Convent, Uripok; Mayanglambam Ratan Singh and Family Awards (Rs 5000 and citation) were presented to HSLC Exam 2022 3rd position holders Menaka Huidrom (Eureka Academy) and Jesia Khwairakpam (Ratankumar Memorial School, Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi); Leeching Lambi Award given to HSLC Exam 2022 five toppers from government and government aided schools of Kakching Centre were presented to Khulpuwa Kodunsim Maring, Salam Bidyarani Devi, Elangbam William Singh, Kshetrimayum Sheityam Singh and Yendrembam Jenish Singh, all of Kakching Model High School with each receiving prize money of Rs 10,000, Rs 6000, Rs 5000, Rs 4000 & Rs 4000 and citation; Kshetrimayum Aber Singh and Salam Ibeton Devi Award for Best Reader (Rs 5000 and citation) was presented to Oinam Prasanta Singh of Kakching Makha Leikai Panjao Pareng; while Yengkhom Mohendro Singh Memorial Award consisting of Rs 5000 and citation was given to IIT-Kharagpur selected student Mayanglambam Surdas Singh of Kakching Ward no 9 Leishangbam Pareng.

Mayanglambam Khongnemba Singh and Tamphadon Devi Memorial Awards given to HSLC Examination toppers (excluding 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders) of Kakching schools which carries Rs 1000 and citation were presented to HSLC Exam 2022 18th position holder Chingakham Italy Meitei, 20th position holder Elangbam Sarankumar Meitei, 21st position holder Sarangthem Thoithoi Chanu, 22nd position holder Shougrakpam Dinokumar Meitei, 23rd position holders Sorokhaibam Priyadarshini Devi & Moirangthem Devarani Devi, 25th position holders Yumnam Yaiphaba & Ningthoujam Shadhana Devi.

The programme was attended by Senior Citizens Forum Kakching president & ex-minister Nongmaithem Nimai as president, while Manipur Pollution Control Board chairman & Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben, Kakching MLA M Rameshwar and DM University vice chancellor Professor Nongmaithem Rajmuhon were guests of honour.

Manipur Governor La Ganesan, who was supposed to attend the function as chief guest, could not attend it due to sudden illness, but he sent an audio message wishing all the best to award winners especially Governor Award' (Kakching Library Award) winner along with the LIC.
