Maram community to back NPF candidate

Imphal, January 12 2022: The Maram Union (MU) convened its 3rd Union Assembly on Wednesday at Assembly Hall of Maram Union Secretariat Complex, Senapati town where it has been resolved to support the candidature of either K Raina of Maram Bazar or Francis Ngajokpa of Willong Khullen to represent Maram people in respect of Tadubi AC in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 .

A release by its general secretary Pungdi P Celestine said the meeting was attended by Maram village heads, public leaders, Maram Students' Union leaders, Maram Women Union leaders and three Maram Zonal Organisations.

The meeting chaired by MU speaker Ng Joseph was preceded by Katomei village headman P Tuiba invoking the God's blessing for the smooth conduct of business.

In the greater interest and aspirations of the Maram people, the" house resolved td support the candidature of either Raina or Francis Ngajokpa or whomsoever the National People's Front (NPF) party ticket is allotted to represent Maram people, the release said.
