Training on mushroom cultivation, food processing held

Imphal, January 05 2025: A training programme on mushroom cultivation technology and food processing was organised by Rama Foundation (RAMAF) in collaboration with Reunion Foundation from December 29, 2024 till January 4 at the RAMAF office, Nagamapal RIMS road.

In a release, RAMAF informed that Regional Achiever awardee Soram Rajendra Kumar, as the resource person, talked on scientific methods of mushroom cultivation, disease management, identification of poisonous mushrooms, value-added products such as pickles and dried mushrooms, marketing, and financial assistance.

The objective of the training programme is to help generate income and develop skills.

At the end of the training a health awareness programme was also included, it said.

The foundation further assured to impart such training programmes, and advised interested individuals, organisations, SHGs, or farmer's clubs to contact office of RAMAF at Nagamapal or call 8787734452 for more details.
