Pageant winners to attend Manipur event

Imphal, September 28 2022: Miss World Manushi Chhillar and Femina Miss India Manasa Varanasi would be participating as show stoppers in Robert Naorem's Manipur Fashion Extravaganza 2022, which is being organised as part of spreading awareness on breast cancer and also attended by differently-able models.

Addressing a press meet held Tuesday, Robert said that in celebration of the 5-year anniversary of launching his studio and label, 'Robert Naorem', the Manipur Fashion Extravaganza 2022 will be organised at Hotel Imphal on October 16 .

The programme will not only be a fashion event, but also spread awareness on breast cancer and an opportunity for differently-able persons in such an event.

In all, 40 Manipuri models and models from outside the state will walk the ramp for his and emerging fashion designer Arbin Tonjam's shows, in addition to a jewellery show highlighting the craftsmanship of Manipuri artisans.

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be the showstopper for his show, while Femina Miss India 2020 Manasa Varanasi will be the showstopper for Arbin Tonjam's show, as a form of supporting the handloom products of the weavers of Manipur, he added.

Robert Naorem further informed that the Robert Naorem Charitable Trust will be launched during the Manipur Fashion Extravaganza 2022 .

The 'Weaver of the year' award will also be presented as a form of honouring the weavers, he said and urged the people to extend their support to the event.
