Relief and safety items distributed

Imphal, August 09 2021: In appreciation of the efforts of Covid-19 frontline workers, Waikhom Mani Girl's College Students' Union distributed safety items and edibles to traffic and police personnel who deployed for duty at several places on Monday.

The Union also provided similar items to Children Home for Girls run by WIGC Thoubal, The Kulachandra Children Home for Mental Ill (Boys) and Senior Citizens' Home, Wangbal.

Meanwhile, BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary Kongkham Bikram and Thangmeiband NYGK club distributed safety items including face masks, sanitizers and hand gloves to health workers of Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Langol Tarung while Patsoi A/C ex-MLA Sapam Keba distributed edible items to vulnerable families in Tera Loukrakpam Leikai, Thingom Leikai, Wangthombi Leirak and Takyel Khongbam.

The edibles were also distributed to people staying in rented accommodations.

Continuing.the distribution of medicines and safety items to CCC, CHIC, local Covid Task force, local club and meira paibi groups; Committee on Covid-19 Manipur distributed AYUSH 64 tablets, face masks and sanitizers in Imphal West, Senapati and Kangpokpi.

The Committee distributed the said items to people of Sanjenbam as well as to Lairen Sajik Enat Kanba Lup, Singda Naharol Yaipha Thouni Kanglup, Loitang Khunou United Youth Club, Sadar Patel Community Home Isolation Centre Khurkhul, Kanto Sabal Ward no 8, Leimakhong Chingmang Youth Club, Loitang Leikinthabi ward member and Singda Kadangban GP Pradhan in Imphal West.

The items were handed over to Katokmei village authority, Maram village chief authority, Tadubi Youth Students' Association and Mayangkhang village authority for Senapati district, while it was given to Kuki Inpi ex-president for Kangpokpi district.

On the other-hand, Langthabal MLA Karam Shy-am celebrated his birthday by arranging lunch for 45 people affected by Covid-19, who are putting up in the CHIC set up at Standard Robarth School.

Resident Welfare Association, Wangkhei Khunou also distributed relief items to 280 households under the jurisdiction of Thangjing Pana as BJP Kishan Morcha vice president and Medical cell convenor Dr Ksh Kala provided essential items to several households in Pukhao Laipham and Pukhao Ahalup which have been notified as containment zones.
