State students on NIT visit Agra

A group of 20 students from the state, participating in the National Integration Tour (NIT), visited Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday and Thursday, after completing Delhi leg of their journey.
According to a statement issued by PRO Defence, the students explored Agra's cultural and historical landmarks, including the iconic Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and Sikandara monuments during their two-day visit.
Guided tours at these Sites offered valuable insights into the rich history and architectural brilliance of India.
The students also had the unique opportunity to visit the Army Airborne Training School, where they witnessed a live demonstration of a freefall jump by paratroopers.
The demonstration included an informative session on parachute mechanics, followed by an interactive discussion with the Commandant of the prestigious institution.
Additionally, the group visited the Parachute Brigade Museum, gaining knowledge about the courageous actions of Indian Paratroopers in historic battles.
The tour is part of Operation Sadbhavna, an initiative organised by the Indian Army to promote national integration and foster unity among youth from different parts of India.
This initiative aims to empower young minds by exposing them to India's diverse cultural heritage and strengthening the spirit of national unity.
The National Integration Tour will conclude on November 12 in Imphal, the statement added.
