Imphal, November 02 2024: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya held a meeting with the vice-chancellors and registrars of state and central universities at Raj Bhavan on Saturday to review the progress towards complete implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) in the state.

In a release, PRO Raj Bhavan informed that during the meeting, the Governor enquired about the issues pertaining to the strength of teaching and non-teaching staff, and other developmental issues were also discussed.

The vice-chancellors presented updates on NEP implementation status within their respective institutions.

Governor Acharya reaffirmed Raj Bhavan's commitment to providing support for these efforts.

Manipur University vice-chancellor (VC) N Lokendra Singh, Dhanamanjuri University & Manipur Technical University VC H Gyan Prakash, and Manipur University of Culture VC Paonam Gunindro Singh were present in the meeting, it said.
