Imphal, October 25 2022: Huiyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association celebrated its 64th foundation day at its Irilbung complex on Tuesday.

The foundation day celebration was attended by Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan; Association's director and Sangeet Natak awardee K Sanathoiba Sharma and Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre member Th Swarankumar as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Hassan pointed out that in addition to financial values, tradition and culture are essential for development of a state.

He also stated that as enrichment of human values would be insignificant without development of art and culture, everybody needs to shoulder the responsibility for preserving culture and tradition.

The MLA also termed as fortunate that Kshetrigao AC has such institution which takes vital roles in making Manipur known to the world and assured of extending all possible help to the institution from his side.

Students of the Cultural Association performed 'Khu-jao Leichaoba Khousarol' and Thang-ta as part of the celebration.
