Imphal, June 22 2021: UNACCO School, Khongman principal P Surchandra Singh has been appointed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as resource centre and custodian for the National Achievement Survey-2021.Aimed towards ascertaining the "health system" of the education system, the National Achievement Survey is a sample-based exercise designed to provide information about the learning achievement and grade competencies of students studying in recognised government, private and government-aided schools.

The spirit for this survey comes under NEPR-2020 para 8.10 that recommends for a periodic "Health Check-up" through a sample-based National Achievement Survey of student learning levels.

The survey will be monitored by a steering committee headed by the chairman of CBSE and represented by members of National Council of Education Research, Education Ministry, NITI Aayog, NIC, etc.

Mention may be made here that P Surchan-dra Singh had recently been awarded with the Global Principal Award, 2020 by AKS Education Award, a released by UNACCO School PRO P Sanayaima informed.
