Bishnupur DM issues guidelines to open shops

Bishnupur, June 14 2021:
Bishnupur district magistrate Krishna Kumar on Monday informed that in accordance with the order issued by chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar on Sunday, the new schedule for opening of vegetable vendors, grocery shops and wholesalers in respect of districts where 'Curfew' is in forced, has been updated.
In an order, the DM notified that local vegetable vendors will be allowed to operate from 7 am to 10 am for purchase by the locals on June 16, 19, 22, 25 and 28, provided they are seated at least 6 feet apart from one another and wear mask all the time.
Only one out of three grocery shops of the total shops/ vendors in one location will be allowed to open on rotational basis from 7 am to 10 am on the said days.
If the shops or vendors are located in congested rows, then only alternate rows shall be allowed to open, while on major roads like NH both sides may open.
Queue system should be adopted by all shops and vendors, it stated.
The order further said that whole sale shops of grocery and food essentials located in Thangal Bazaar and Masjid Road will be allowed to open from 7 am to 12 noon with Tuesday being designated day for retailers to purchase goods from Thangal Bazar in respect of Bishnupur district.
All shops in the containment zones though will remain closed along with all major markets in the district, it added.
