Journal 'Khongchat: The Khangabok Diary' launched

The inaugural issue of journal Khongchat: The Khangabok Diary, a bilingual annual publication, was officially launched at Bh Manithoi Mandop, Khangabok Part-III Makha Leikai.
The launch programme was attended by former minister Laishram Jatra Singh as chief guest, retired Manipur police inspector Laishram Tomba Khuman as special guest, Manipur University assistant librarian Moirangthem Lokendro Singh and SUR Hospital, Khangabok proprietor Dr Laishram Somenkumar Singh as guests of honour and Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok founder & principal Laishram Subha Singh as functional president.
Editor of the journal DrLaishram Lenin Singh (Lenin Khumancha) outlined the journal's vision to document the achievements and voices of Khangabok across generations and professions.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of Laishram Jatra for his academic achievement as the first from Khangabok village to secure position in the Matriculation Exam, 1964, along with the first four PhD holders from the village namely Dr Laishram Ibungohal, Dr Laishram Bokul Singh, Prof Khundrakpam Jugindro Singh, and Dr Khundrakpam Akoisana Singh.
Their contributions were celebrated as milestones in the academic narrative of Khangabok.
