Parents, CMC students air grievances to Governor

Parents and Guardians' Association of Churachandpur Medical College (CMC) first batch and MBBS students on Monday called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here requesting her to address grievances of the CMC students.
A release by PRO Raj Bhavan informed that Guardians' Association first batch convenor Y Ingochouba Singh, MBBS students along with nine others called on the Governor and requested her to look into the concerns and grievances faced by the second year medical students of CMC.
They also requested for the provision of facilities as per the syllabus and guidelines of NMC and for conduct ing practical and clinical classes by strictly adhering to the norms laid down by the authorities.
They drew the attention of the Governor to look into the concerns and issue and further requested her to convey the matters to authorities concerned to take steps at the earliest possible time and give permanent solutions.
The Governor then spoke to chief secretary Vineet Joshi over the phone during the meeting and asked to address the grievances faced by the students, while assuring the guardians and students to extend assistance from her office in the best interest of the students.
She also assured that a joint meeting, of all concerned stakeholders will be called for soon.
The PRO also informed that North East India Women Initiative for Peace founder Binalakshmi Nepram along with five members called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, requesting for convening a meeting with all the mothers from all communities of Manipur for peace initiatives.
The team lauded the humanitarian services of the Governor during the ethnic strife in the state by reaching out to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) taking refuge in relief camps.
The Governor, while informing the continuous efforts of her office and governments for restoring peace and normalcy in the state, sought suggestions and ground reports of the IDPs staying in relief camps in both hill and valley districts and their required assistance,'the PRO conveyed.
The release further stated that IAS probationers of 2023 Batch, Manipur Cadre namely, Arvind Hanglem, Anunay Anand and Aishwarya Dubey called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan during which the Governor extended her heartiest welcome to the visiting IAS officers and wished them to perform their duty diligently in the interest of the countrymen and to work for the welfare of the nation.
