Imphal, December 20 2024: Security forces apprehended an active cadre of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) People's War Group (PWG) identified as Tularanjan Ingudam Meitei (29) from North AOC area on Thursday.

According to a press note released by Manipur Police on Friday, Tularanjan was rounded up from near North AOC Zomi Villa gate.

Police recovered one 9mm pistol with magazine, one mobile handset and one unregistered two-wheeler.

Tularanjan is accused of extorting money from the public and businesses.

Meanwhile, security forces carried out a search operation in Wakan Hill Range, imphal East district on Friday and recovered one Single Barrel Gun, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one .32mm pistol with magazine, two rounds of 9mm calibre, four Pompi guns along with one trigger and one camouflage t-shirt.

Another search operation was also carried out at Mau-kot village in Churachandpur district, during which security forces recovered one 303 rifle with magazine and one 9mm pistol (country made) with magazine, the report informed.
