ADG reviews BSF deployment

Kolkata-headquartered Border Security Force (BSF) Eastern Command's additional director general (ADG) Ravi Gandhi extended his stay in the state amidst the escalating tensions.
The ADG's visit aims to bolster "troop morale", while scrutinising the current security landscape to help restore law and order.
According to PRO Frontier HQ BSF M&C, ADG Ravi Gandhi, accompanied by BSF Frontier IG Sanjay Kumar Misra and BSF Sector DIG Rajiv Singh, held discussions with Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh and ADG (Law & Order) L Kailun.
"This strategic meeting with collaborative discussions was aimed at facilitating synergy and harmonise BSF and police operations, striving to normalise the situation and foster trust among local residents," said the release.
Among others, ADG Ravi also visited UNACCO residential school, Chanung in Imphal East and interacted with the students, while inspiring them to work diligently towards building a stronger nation in the future.
He also visited 7th Manipur Rifles, reviewed the security arrangements of Quarter Guard & Kote and was briefed by Battalion CO Roni Mayengbam.
Further, the ADG inspected various BSF deployments across Imphal East and Imphal West districts where he interacted with BSF officers and troops, commending their unwavering efforts in maintaining law and order.
Ravi Gandhi reaffirmed the BSF's commitment to upholding law and order, ensuring public safety, and fostering community trust.
He also encouraged the BSF personnel to carry on with the same zeal to discharge their duties with utmost professionalism and dedication, added the PRO.
